About the Job

We are seeking a Bookkeeping Quality Expert to ensure high-quality bookkeeping and payroll standards for our customers.

The primary focus of this role is on reviewing and quality-controlling work completed by financial service teams. You will leverage your bookkeeping and payroll expertise to maintain accuracy, identify errors, and uphold best practices, while also supporting process optimisation and automation efforts.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and validating bookkeeping and payroll work, ensuring accuracy and compliance with best practices.
  • Maintaining exceptional customer outcomes by upholding high service standards and low error rates.
  • Tracking and resolving quality issues while keeping customer information accurate and up to date.
  • Embedding quality checks into workflows to ensure consistent service excellence.

You will also be involved in process optimisation and automation, including:

  • Identifying and implementing best-practice processes for bookkeeping and payroll workflows.
  • Continuously optimising workflows to reduce inefficiencies and improve customer outcomes.
  • Collaborating with Product & Engineering teams to enhance automation in financial workflows.
  • Contributing to Process Refinement by turning insights into enhancements.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Hands-on experience in bookkeeping and payroll, with a strong focus on quality control and accuracy.
  • Professional qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a related field.
  • BAS Agent registration is highly desirable.
  • Expert knowledge of Xero, with experience in additional platforms being advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven ability to review and quality-control bookkeeping and payroll work, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with teams across Product, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Experience with automation tools and workflow optimisation is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide clear feedback to internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a collaborative team environment.
