Job Opportunity:

Meat Industry Specialist

  • This is a fixed-term full-time position for 2 years, playing a key role in launching a new technology across the Australian Livestock Industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the installation and adoption of a new meat scanner at commercial meat processing plants (abattoirs).
  • Train staff and ensure effective integration of the device into their business.
  • Identify issues in uptake and usage of the device and work closely with our engineering team to come up with solutions.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the Livestock and Red Meat Industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across disciplines and collaborate with industry partners.
  • Ability to manage projects with industry partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
  • Evidence of an understanding of livestock anatomy and physiology.
  • High level organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage workload within a busy environment and meet competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation of reports and analysis of experimental results.
