As a Production Engineer at ARB Australia, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our production processes and driving continuous improvement. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing, operating, and implementing processes that elevate Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Sustainability, and Profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver new products into manufacturing processes, ensuring all manufacturing aspects are met in terms of Safety, Quality, and Efficiency.
- Develop accurate and efficient production BOM costings and routings across multiple sites that meet or exceed product cost targets.
- Liaise with Design Engineering team in providing manufacturing input to products at design level through Design for Manufacturability (DFM) process.
- Design and fabricate production tooling, jigs, and gauges to conform to the design requirements of the product using SolidWorks CAD.
- Supervise the manufacturing and verification of new products through the plant through Off Tool Sample (OTS) stage and Pilot Run.
- Able to understand current production processes and develop improved processes and/or Automated systems based on Manufacturing inputs.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience: Proven track record in Continuous Improvement with experience in automotive OEM quality systems, metal fabrication, welding, CNC machining, or assembly production processes.
- Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD (or equivalent), and competent in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). ERP System experience is a plus.
- Attributes: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on root cause analysis, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and a collaborative approach.
