Director Workforce Security and Countermeasures

About the Role

This is a key leadership position that plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and secure delivery of the nuclear-powered submarine program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective protective security advice and solutions to mitigate personnel and other protective security risks.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement security strategies, policies, and operational practices.
  • Lead a high-performing team to deliver organisational outcomes and contribute to the development of ASA's security culture.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of legislative and policy frameworks, government decision-making, and ASA's objectives.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of and compliance with legislative and policy frameworks.
  • Strong initiative and judgement to develop and deliver timely and appropriate protective security advice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capacity to lead a high-performing team to deliver organisational outcomes.
