Remote Healthcare Specialist

This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to remote communities, develop your skills in a unique healthcare setting, and immerse yourself in the cultural and natural surroundings of the region.

As a Remote Healthcare Specialist, you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff. You will provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities, working short-term placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks.

  • You will receive cultural orientation and 24/7 support to help you transition into remote healthcare.
  • Free CPD-accredited eLearning with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
Requirements:
  • A fellowship with either Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
  • Minimum of 250 hours of relevant full-time clinical experience working as a general practitioner within the past 12 months.
  • Evidence of completion of current and previous triennium requirements and active participation in continuing education recognised by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Quality Assurance and Continuous Professional Development (RACGP QA & CPD) or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine-Professional Development Program (ACRRM PDP).
  • Evidence of current professional indemnity insurance as a General Practitioner (Level 1)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
