Accounting Trainee Position

This is a trainee position in accounting where you will develop technical skills and assist in preparing client returns and reports.

  • Key Focus:
    • Develop technical skills
    • Preparing client returns and reports
    • Research Assistance
    • Support Supervisors and the Principal
  • Responsibilities & Tasks:
    • Financial Advisory Services
      • Prepare tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies, partnerships, and self-managed super funds including documentation to support returns
      • Prepare GST tax calculations
      • Prepare activity statements, using MYOB, Xero, HandiLedger, HandiTax, and Excel
      • Prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards, using HandiLedger
      • Interpreting source data
      • Review client accounting records, statements, and other reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
    • Relationships
      • Respond and follow through with clients' needs in a quick and timely manner
    • Firm Work and Support
      • Assist in general office duties
      • Provide support to Supervisors and Principal
