Provisional Fellow in Anaesthesia Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Provisional Fellow in Anaesthesia to join our team at Peninsula Health. As a Provisional Fellow, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive environment consisting of Specialist Anaesthetists, trainees, RMOs, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Research Nurses, and Personal Assistants.

You will work across 18 theatres/anaesthetising locations across two campuses, providing anaesthetic and perioperative care for various procedural specialties, including general surgery, orthopaedics, thoracics, urology, vascular, ENT, fasciomax, obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatric, gastroenterology, respiratory, radiology, cardiology, and ECT.

The ideal candidate will have AHPRA Registration, ANZCA PFY Eligibility, completed (or expected to complete before commencement) ANZCA Fellowship Exam, and the ability to work dynamically and collaboratively. The role is full-time with a preference for 6 months positions.

You will participate in quality assurance, audits, research, and special projects as required. Additionally, you will have opportunities to pursue specific themes/areas of interest, such as Simulation and Education, Regional Anaesthesia, Perioperative Medicine, Anaesthesia Research, and Anaesthetic Anaphylaxis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide anaesthetic care of adult and paediatric patients in operating theatres/anaesthetising locations
  • Support junior trainees in the provision of Acute Pain Service and Labour Epidural Analgesia
  • Participate in quality assurance, audits, research, and special projects as required
  • Pursue specific themes/areas of interest and lead/assist related activities
