Hyatt Corporation is seeking a talented and passionate Culinary Expert to join our team in Canberra. As a Chef De Partie, you will be responsible for supervising the assigned station/section of the outlet kitchen, ensuring consistent high-quality products and excellent service.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who strives to exceed guest expectations and prioritizes diversity, inclusion, and teamwork in a fast-paced customer service environment. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in a la carte dining, preferably in hotels, and a qualification in Commercial Cookery.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in menu planning, implementation, and execution
  • Work in the main kitchen, serving Promenade Café, Tea Lounge, and in-room dining
  • Maintain a clean and orderly station/section at all times
  • Train associates in preparation and presentation of items
  • Suggest alternative menu items and interact with customers to meet and exceed culinary expectations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years work experience in the hospitality industry
  • Recent experience in a la carte dining, preferably in hotels
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery and comprehensive knowledge of kitchen operations
