Health and Safety Leader

This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in shaping and delivering the health, safety, and wellbeing strategy.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and embedding safe work procedures and compliance frameworks.
- They will design and deliver engaging safety and wellbeing training programs.
- Monitoring and investigating safety incidents, coaching managers on corrective actions will also be a key responsibility.
- Coordinating proactive health and wellbeing initiatives, return-to-work programs, and Workcover claims will be part of this role.
- The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner will support voluntary safety roles (e.g., Emergency Wardens, First Aid Officers, HSRs).
- Leading communications, audits, and wellbeing programs that enhance both physical and mental health will be a key aspect of this position.
About the Opportunity:
- A minimum Diploma-level qualification in Safety (auditor qualifications desirable) is required.
- Experience across office-based and/or site-based safety environments (property, housing, maintenance, local government or similar) is essential.
- Strong skills in investigations, risk management, and safety systems are necessary.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building ability is required.
- Experience in wellbeing and return-to-work programs is beneficial.
- A passion for embedding safety and wellbeing into workplace culture is highly valued.
