Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our workplace relations efforts, focusing on fostering a harmonious work environment and resolving employee issues with finesse. This proactive individual will navigate the intricacies of workplace investigation processes, leading the resolution of complex employee relations matters.

The ideal candidate will interpret and apply enterprise agreements, awards, and employment legislation, conducting and overseeing workplace investigations with confidence. They will play a key role in managing complex employee relations matters and supporting best-practice approaches to workplace investigations and issue resolution.

This role requires collaboration with the People Solution Centre to triage and manage ER cases, including escalation of complex matters as needed. The successful candidate will maintain detailed, accurate records of ER matters and identify opportunities for improving systems and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading workplace investigations and employee relations matters
  • Interpreting and applying employment legislation and regulations
  • Managing complex employee relations cases
  • Collaborating with the People Solution Centre
  • Maintaining accurate records and identifying process improvements
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, industrial instruments, and best-practice ER processes
  • Demonstrated experience conducting or managing sensitive and complex workplace investigations
  • The ability to interpret and communicate legislation, policies, and procedures clearly to varied audiences
