We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated development engineer to join our team and contribute to shaping the future of our vibrant municipality through expert engineering advice and innovative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Assessing and preparing recommendations for development and subdivision applications;">
  • Preparing technical reports on engineering matters related to applications and construction certificates;">
  • Reviewing and monitoring stormwater, traffic, subdivision, and civil works;">
  • Providing advice and guidance on development control plans;">
  • Supporting council in land and environment court hearings, including expert witness reporting;">
  • Providing high-quality technical advice to the public;">
  • Ensuring compliance with the environmental planning and assessment act 1979, council policies, and best-practice principles;">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or a related field;">
  • Minimum of two years' experience with development engineering matters;">
  • Sound knowledge of development assessment processes, including stormwater management, traffic, and civil/subdivision works;">
  • Understanding of local government and environmental legislation;">
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills;">
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment;">
  • A current class c driver's license;">
