Outside of School Hours Care Coordinator

The role of the Outside of School Hours Care Coordinator involves overseeing the daily operations of a service providing before and after school care to students from Prep to Year 6.

  • Responsibilities will include program administration, rostering, supervising casual staff in running activities and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Maintaining and updating the service Quality Improvement Plan, ensuring high levels of compliance and preparedness for assessment and rating.

As a leader and rapport-builder, you will motivate your team, assisting with their professional development and fostering positive relationships with schools, families, and children.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as an Outside of School Hours Care coordinator, demonstrating ability to deliver a safe, caring, and engaging program for primary-aged children.
  • A sound working knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, first aid qualifications, and a valid Working With Children Check.
  • A Diploma in Children's Services, Bachelor of Education or relevant Out of School Hours qualification, along with current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis management certifications.
  • Experience in a similar position, with two relevant management referees from an OSHC setting.
