Are you a committed and empathetic psychologist passionate about understanding and addressing pain? Our esteemed healthcare organization, Neurospine Institute, is looking for a highly qualified and experienced Psychologist with a special focus on pain to become part of our innovative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform thorough psychological assessments and evaluations to gain insights into patients' pain experiences, psychological influences, and their effects on overall health.
  2. Design and execute evidence-based treatment strategies customized for individual patients, emphasizing pain management and the enhancement of psychological resilience.
  3. Deliver psychological therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based techniques, and other methodologies, to assist patients in effectively coping with and managing their pain.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and holistic treatment for patients experiencing pain conditions.
  5. Engage in research and contribute to the advancement of new interventions and strategies for pain management.
  6. Educate and train patients, families, and caregivers on the psychological aspects of pain management and strategies to enhance overall well-being.
  7. Maintain precise and current documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in line with professional and ethical standards.
  8. Stay informed about the latest research, developments, and best practices in the field of pain psychology.

Qualifications:

  1. Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution.
  2. Current and valid professional license or certification to practice psychology.
  3. Specialization or postdoctoral training in pain psychology, chronic pain management, or a related field is preferred.
  4. Demonstrated experience in conducting psychological assessments and providing evidence-based interventions for patients with pain conditions.
  5. Strong understanding of various psychological treatment modalities, including CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based approaches, as they pertain to pain management.
  6. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and therapeutic relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to convey complex concepts clearly and understandably.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  9. Proven commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest research and advancements in pain psychology.
