Pastoral Support Specialist

We are seeking compassionate and skilled individuals to join our team as Pastoral Support Specialists. As a Pastoral Support Specialist, you will provide emotional and spiritual support to our staff and their families, as well as the communities we serve.

Our annual pastoral care visits are cherished by our staff and their families, and serve as a significant encouragement to them as they serve with us. By collaborating with our leadership and other departments, we work to ensure that the pastoral care provided is tailored to meet the specific needs and requirements of our staff, their families, and communities in which we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional and spiritual support to MAF staff and their families through listening well, prayer, and pastoral guidance.">
  • Develop and implement strategies for promoting spiritual growth and emotional wellness among MAF staff.">
  • Facilitate team-building activities and events that foster a strong sense of community and camaraderie among MAF staff.">
  • Collaborate with MAF leadership and other departments to develop and execute programs and initiatives that promote the spiritual health of our organization.">
  • Build relationships with the local communities we serve and provide pastoral care and support as needed.">
  • Serve as a representative of our values and mission, both within our organization and in the communities we operate in.">

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

We seek individuals with cross-cultural experience, proficient English skills, and excellent listening abilities. Familiarity with our organization and previous mission field exposure are advantageous.

Ideal candidates will commit to one program, making annual return visits for two to three weeks over a minimum of three years. This continuity aims to establish trust with the staff and ensure that the responsibilities are manageable.
