About the Role

The Strategic HR Generalist will play a critical role in enabling effective workforce management across the organisation. This involves supporting service delivery through best practice employment relations advice, managing performance and conduct issues, and overseeing the employee lifecycle.

  • Substantial knowledge of performance management, workplace investigations, employee relations, and grievances handling, as well as operational HR functions
  • Ability to interpret and advise on organisational policies and procedures, industrial instruments, and relevant legislation
  • Demonstrated risk assessment skills with the ability to analyse, prioritise, escalate, and plan for optimal employee relations management
  • Excellent communication skills, including provision of advice to managers and employees, as well as report writing tailored to the target audience
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritise own work, take responsibility, and utilise initiative for delivering work activities and projects effectively and efficiently
  • Contribution to ongoing process improvements and effective team collaboration
  • Role model professional conduct and confidentiality in all matters
  • Familiarity with MS Office and web-based applications, as well as knowledge of industrial relations instruments and associated processes
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, and/or Psychology are highly regarded
  • Experience in managing workplace investigations, interpreting awards and legislation, and providing timely advice to the organisation is essential
