Job Overview

The Parts Interpreter is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless retail experience. This key role involves maintaining and updating front sales area retail displays to showcase products effectively.

Maintaining business plan targets through efficient sales of parts and services to customers is crucial in this position. Developing new customers while nurturing existing relationships is also essential.

This role requires coordination and implementation of the supply chain process to meet retail customer demands efficiently. Effective communication and response to customer enquiries are vital.

Responsibilities include generating sales invoices, processing credit returns, raising vendor purchase orders, and reconciling cash sales daily in accordance with administration requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and update front sales area retail displays to ensure visually appealing product showcases
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve or exceed business plan targets
  • Identify opportunities to expand the customer base and maintain existing relationships
  • Coordinate the supply chain process to meet retail customer demands efficiently
  • Respond promptly and effectively to all customer enquiries
  • Generate sales invoices and process credit returns accurately
  • Raise vendor purchase orders as required
  • Reconcile cash sales on a daily basis in line with administration procedures
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a similar role with a proven track record of success
  • Familiarity with vehicle or equipment parts, including mechanical knowledge and understanding of component systems
  • Sound computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in team environments
  • Flexibility to work a Saturday shift on a rotating roster
