About the Job

**Data Analyst - Business Insights**

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Pyramid Global Technologies. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing business problems and recommending solutions that drive data-driven decision making within our organization.

You will work closely with our Data Engineering and Data Science teams, as well as the Product Owner, to identify and document technical and business requirements to facilitate the development of new data solutions.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working with data warehouse solutions for large organizations, coupled with business analyst skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Probe, source, and manipulate large data sets to resolve issues or develop solutions to enable business decisions.
  • Define business problems, assist with the development of hypotheses, undertake relevant reporting, summarize insights, and make recommendations for actions.
  • Investigate and analyze large datasets to help resolve business problems or develop solutions to enable business decisions.
  • Visualize data using Power BI and create dashboards that integrate data from multiple source systems to analyze, track, and report on different metrics.
  • Identify stakeholder pain points, provide insights reporting, and root cause analysis to support Product Owners.
  • Break down business requirements into epics and user stories, elaborate, and hand over to the technical team for development.
  • Support the technical team with their queries.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge in business requirements gathering, data profiling, and data analysis.
  • Good knowledge of SQL to extract, join, and transform data.
  • Data visualization, including working with an enterprise data visualization platform such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach with a customer/stakeholder-centric mindset.
  • Exposure to Workday data and People Analytics will be a plus.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in computer science or data science.
  • Familiarity with Agile working models.
  • Experience in Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
