Optimise workplace health and wellbeing through proactive and reactive strategies, fostering a culture of safety and resilience. In this pivotal role, you will assume responsibility for delivering our Health & Safety strategy and serve as the single point of contact for all health and wellbeing matters.

Key to your success will be building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across human resources, health and safety, operational and corporate functions. You will provide technical advice and practical solutions for a wide range of health and wellbeing issues, including occupational hygiene and health monitoring, mental health, psychosocial risk and job design.

Your expertise will be called upon to coach and build capability in operational teams on key health and safety activities such as AOD program facilitation, musculoskeletal and ergonomic risk reduction, fatigue management and early injury intervention.

In addition, you will manage Return to Work processes, oversee Health & Safety Management System implementation and improvement, and support continuous wellbeing initiatives.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar role within a high-risk manufacturing, construction, utilities, mining or similar industry is required.
  • You will possess qualifications in Physiotherapy, Occupational Hygiene, Exercise Physiology, Health Science or a similar field. A Master's Degree in these fields or a Certificate III/IV or Diploma in Health & Safety is desirable.

To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with multiple levels of organisations and external bodies.
