Financial Strategist Role

We are seeking a skilled financial strategist to provide forward-looking insights and drive business growth.

The Opportunity
  • As a trusted advisor, you will partner with cross-functional teams to develop pricing and product strategies.
  • You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis processes to inform strategic decisions.
  • Your expertise in translating complex financial data into clear commercial narratives will be invaluable.
  • You will manage and develop high-performing direct reports.
  • You will support strategic planning and ensure effective board-level reporting.
  • You will analyze underwriting profitability by product line, segment, and channel.
  • You will lead monthly loss ratio and claims trend reviews, working closely with actuarial and pricing teams.
  • You will develop robust financial models to support reinsurance and capital planning initiatives.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of commercial experience, ideally within the insurance industry.
  • Prior experience in an FP&A, business partner, or commercial finance role.
  • CA/CPA qualification is preferred.
  • Previous mentorship/leadership exposure is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively partner with diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to determine priorities.
  • Insurance or financial services experience highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
