SalaryThe estimated salary for this role ranges from $28 to $32 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:As an Aged Care Support Specialist at Uniting AgeWell, you will play a vital role in co-ordinating personal care for residents, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. You will be responsible for providing effective clinical and emotional support, recognising changes in residents' conditions, and escalating observations and concerns as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents, considering their cultural, spiritual, and individual needs.
- Provide personal care to residents with complex needs, such as palliative care, dementia support, restorative care, and pain management.
- Support nursing staff regarding assessment, care planning processes, documentation, and evaluation of care outcomes.
- Monitor the cleanliness, safety, environment, and promptly report any issues of concern.
To succeed in this role, you will require a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent, along with experience in residential aged care/home care, preferably including dementia care and palliative care support. Strong communication skills, both in teams and one-on-one interactions, are essential, as well as a commitment to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life.

- Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance.
