Job Title: Senior Manager, Student Experience and Outcomes
This is a full-time continuing position that requires strategic leadership and collaborative engagement to support student transition and success across the university.The ideal applicant will have expert knowledge of student transition and success issues, including sense of belonging and widening participation, both nationally and internationally. They will also have demonstrated ability to lead and implement change to improve operational efficiency in a large and complex environment.
The Senior Manager, Student Experience and Outcomes will play a critical role in operationalising the university's transition framework. This involves enacting and leading the framework while building and maintaining effective internal and external partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership and Collaborative Engagement: Lead a collaborative effort as part of the divisional senior leadership team to support student transition and success across UQ.
  • Data-Informed Direction and Impact: Provide leadership and direction to staff on student transition and success, taking a data-informed approach and effectively presenting impact data and insights to stakeholders.
  • Expert Knowledge and Proactive Advice: Maintain expert knowledge of the portfolio area, including a comprehensive understanding of national and international best practices, and provide proactive, relevant advice to senior staff.
  • Team and Resource Management: Lead a dedicated team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that supports professional growth, and manage, plan, and coordinate staffing levels and prepare the annual budget for your areas of responsibility.
