Job Description:

This role offers a unique opportunity to drive the strategic development and delivery of capital works, asset management, and land contamination compliance support in public open spaces. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will lead a multidisciplinary team of Coordinators, champion innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence in how infrastructure is planned, built, and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership across capital projects, asset management, and infrastructure delivery
  • Lead, mentor and empower a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compliant and community-focused outcomes
  • Oversee the implementation of land contamination frameworks for safe, sustainable public spaces
  • Champion continuous improvement and innovation in infrastructure planning and service delivery
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align infrastructure outcomes with Council's strategic vision
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, or a related field
  • Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams across infrastructure and capital works
  • Strong financial, contract, and operational management capabilities
  • Expert knowledge of asset management, project delivery frameworks, and regulatory compliance
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
