Sydney Zoo seeks a motivated Food & Beverage service professional to join our team. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, ensuring efficient service and high-quality food, with an emphasis on animal welfare, conservation, and visitor education as part of our mission.

The Position:

\r

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Sydney Zoo team in the Food & Beverage service role. The role will commence as soon as possible. The successful candidate will ensure that guests have an amazing experience at all points of contact, served efficiently, professionally, and with a high level of food quality.

\r

Responsibilities:

The Food & Beverage service professional will be responsible for a variety of tasks in the following roles as required:

  • Cashier\r
  • Barista\r
  • Storeperson\r
  • Function Waiters\r
  • Cook (Food Preparation)\r
\r

Skills, Knowledge, and Relevant Experience:

\r

ESSENTIAL:
A passion for providing excellent customer service.
Outgoing, confident, and friendly personality.
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional personal presentation.
Demonstrated ability to work within a team to deliver outstanding results and the enthusiasm and initiative to deliver exceptional customer service.
Can-do positive attitude and a quick learner who will make a fast start in the role.
Ability to work well under pressure and strong multitasking skills.
Knowledge and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety and Equal Employment Opportunity.
Legal working rights in Australia.
Availability to work various shifts including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role as outlined.

Desirable:

Previous experience operating registers, POS systems, and cash handling.
Previous experience in the hospitality/food service industry.
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Accreditation
