The Department for Energy and Mining is seeking a high-achieving leader to join its Regulatory Risk and Resource Tenure Branch as General Manager, Energy Resources Licensing.
This position involves leading the development and implementation of legislation, policies, and programs governing licensing and land access.
You will provide authoritative advice to government, support critical legislative reform, and engage with industry and community stakeholders, ensuring transparency, compliance, and innovation across the sector.
About You- Proven leadership experience in regulatory, compliance or legal services, preferably within government or the energy/resources sector.
- Expertise in upstream energy resource legislation.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to influence across government and industry, manage change, and provide authoritative, solution-oriented advice.
- Demonstrated ability to work confidently in complex, politically sensitive, and evolving environments.
