Job Overview

Mechanical fitters are in high demand at our mill to maintain and repair machinery.

The role involves hands-on maintenance and repairs within the crushing stations, focusing on hydraulics, gearboxes, and pumps. Collaborate with various departments to ensure production flows safely and reliably.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Innovate and Fabricate – Utilize workshop machinery to manufacture engineering components and contribute to projects.
  • Optimize Asset Performance – Participate in preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, and assist with fault reporting and repairs.
  • Develop Future Talent – Provide guidance to apprentices and trainees, define tasks and performance targets, and offer on-the-job training and feedback.
  • Liaise for Success – Work closely with colleagues to assess the economic life and performance of assets and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure Accuracy and Quality – Complete work orders, permits, and standard reports to support seamless operations.
Your Requirements

We require a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Fitting or equivalent qualification, along with a current Confined Space certificate, valid Safe Working at Heights certificate, and a manual driver's license. Additional qualifications are beneficial; growth opportunities are available.
