As a Senior Market Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and providing insights on energy market trends and developments. This position presents a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to contribute to the advancement of the global clean energy transition.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain market optimization models to identify market dynamics, outlooks, and investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in advising all phases of project/program/investment development and execution.
- Design and set up database tables, collect and manage market and operations data; build analysis tools for assessing market opportunities and energy storage trading performance.
- Research global energy markets rules and trends to accurately understand energy storage operations and energy market potentials.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Economics, Data Science, Engineering).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electricity market analysis or related field in an APAC country or region, preferably from a utility or consulting company.
- Strong knowledge of energy markets, particularly electricity and renewable energy sectors.
- Hands-on experience with market optimization tools (such as Plexos) with an ability to interpret results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and engaging manner.
