Position Overview

The successful Dairy Cattle Farmer will be responsible for the daily operation of a dairy farm with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage general operations, pasture management, milk harvesting, feeding management, and administrative tasks.
  • Lead a small team or groups and train new members to ensure seamless farm operations.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in agriculture or higher equivalent qualification.
  • Possess at least 3 years recent relevant work experience.
  • Display strong communication and time management skills.
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advance knowledge in animal husbandry, animal welfare, and legislation.
  • Dairy production expertise.
  • Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) knowledge.
  • Proficiency in computer programs/software is an advantage.

This position is full-time and may involve weekend work and some unplanned hours where needed. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, ensuring the smooth running of the dairy farm.
