DTS Technical Support Officer Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to provide maintenance and support of operations and infrastructure, including first and second-level service desk support, communications technologies, desktop support and configuration, EMR devices.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in using an ITIL based IT service management system. On a day-to-day basis, the DTS Technical Support Officer will work within the Operations Management Section to deploy new or replacement technology equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support and assistance to staff who encounter issues or problems with their technology devices.
  • Configuring and operating end-user technology devices.
  • Evaluating ICT operational processes and developing improved processes and workflows to provide better value to staff.
  • Establishing programs for staff to improve their computer literacy and maximise their use of technology through online training, knowledge base and face-to-face training.

Flexibility to work throughout our region as necessary and to work outside normal business hours is integral to this role.

The role requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work under broad direction with minimal supervision.
