Clerking Manager Role

As a Clerking Manager, you play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of cases handled by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) within the Crown Court. This role entails overseeing a team of clerking assistants within the CPS Advocacy Unit, guaranteeing that they align with the CPS Advocacy Strategy.

  • You lead and support your team to achieve outstanding performance and well-being, fostering an environment conducive to collaboration and growth.
  • In this capacity, you will work closely with key stakeholders, including chambers' clerks and Crown Court listings teams, to establish and maintain effective relationships through regular communication and engagement.

This position demands exceptional leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the complexities involved in case management.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage a team of clerking assistants, promoting high standards of performance and well-being.
