We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Melbourne.
- Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing and managing preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules.
- The ideal candidate will take ownership of the site's maintenance strategy by planning, scheduling, and executing both preventive and reactive maintenance activities.
- They will act as the owner of the site's SAP-based system, ensuring accurate asset records and maintenance history.
- Additionally, they will coordinate daily maintenance operations and lead weekly planning meetings with production teams to align maintenance schedules with operational demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage both preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Take ownership of the site's maintenance strategy by planning, scheduling, and executing both preventive and reactive maintenance activities.
- Act as the owner of the site's SAP-based system, ensuring accurate asset records and maintenance history.

- Generate detailed weekly and monthly reports that track plan adherence, contractor performance, and completed work.
- Manage the site's spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are always available when needed.

- Ensure all contractor work complies with site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for all significant equipment failures or recurring issues.

Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role.
- Experience with SAP or similar CMMS platforms.
- Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Proven ability to manage contractors and maintenance budgets.
- Familiarity with safety compliance and regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
