About the Position:
Bond University is seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join its dynamic Food and Beverage team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences to students and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food to high standards, following set guidelines and procedures.
- Ensure food and beverage procedures are adhered to, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Contribute to the development of menus and specials, ensuring they meet the university's quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Food and Beverage team to achieve operational excellence and exceed customer expectations.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a university or hospitality setting.
- An appropriate level of training to perform cooking duties, including HACCP and food safety certifications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality food and beverage experiences, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
What We Offer:
Bond University offers a competitive hourly rate of $44.17 (includes 25% casual loading) plus 11.5% superannuation. As a member of our team, you will also have access to a range of benefits, including free staff car parking, a staff wellbeing program, and corporate health and finance discounts.
