About the Role

This is a Senior Advisor position with KPMG's Self Managed Super Fund (SMSF) Specialist Division. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with management to facilitate the preparation of SMSF workpapers and meet internal KPIs.

We are looking for someone with a minimum two years experience in SMSF administration within an accounting firm. The ideal candidate will be able to work with timelines, manage multiple tasks, and possess a proactive attitude towards accuracy and deadlines.

As a Senior Advisor, you will have the opportunity to further develop your technical expertise working across services including tax and accounting compliance and business/tax advisory work for middle market clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with management to facilitate the preparation of SMSF workpapers, including management of queries from offshore processing teams.
  • Meet internal KPIs and lodgement due dates.
  • Liaise with external legal teams to facilitate the setup of new SMSFs, bare trusts, and other legal documents required within the SMSF space.
  • Proactively liaise with external auditors, ATO, and internal stakeholders to ensure exceptional outcomes and quality of work.
Requirements
  • Minimum two years experience in SMSF administration within an accounting firm.
  • Ability to work with timelines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Working towards CA or CPA qualified is desirable but not required.
  • Experience working with an offshore provider is advantageous.
