About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team at ASC. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide expert legal advice and support to our business units, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and support to our business units on a range of matters, including commercial contracts, intellectual property, and employment law.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements, ensuring they meet our business needs and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist with the preparation of policies and procedures, and maintain and update precedents and templates.
  • Take an active role in educating our business on legal issues, including delivering training on legal topics.
  • Manage disputes and briefing external solicitors as required.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of current legislative requirements and legal best practice.
About You
  • You will have a Bachelor of Laws and be admitted to practice law in South Australia.
  • You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and influence stakeholders across the business.
  • You will have a minimum of 3 years' post-admission experience for Legal Counsel roles and a minimum of 5 years' for Senior Legal Counsel roles.
