End-to-End Payroll Specialist

This exciting new role will focus on the end-to-end payroll processing of 1,200+ staff on a weekly and fortnightly basis.
As Senior Payroll Officer, you will work closely with the wider payroll team to deliver complex payroll solutions across multiple awards.
- Prepare and process end-to-end payroll on a weekly and fortnightly basis for over 1,200 employees across multiple entities/states.
- Act as first point of contact for any payroll queries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Interpret remuneration packages including allowances, bonuses, commissions, salary sacrifice and fringe benefits.
- Review payroll journals and reconciliations as well as prepare and lodge payroll tax, super and workcover reports.
- Prior experience working in a senior payroll capacity will be beneficial.
- Ability to interpret and apply multiple awards.
- Experience working with complex payroll environments, including shiftwork, penalties and overtime.
- Knowledge of iChris/Chirs21 and/or Employment Hero is advantageous.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract position, full-time and based in St Leonards (close to public transport). Hybrid working is offered, 4 days in the office and 1 day from home.
A competitive salary package is available, commensurate with experience.
