About the Role

Metricon Homes, a leading multi-award-winning new home builder, is seeking a skilled Display Draftsperson to join its National Product Development team.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for completing drafting documentation for Metricon display homes from concept to handover, ensuring all documentation reflects customer requirements, building codes, local authority, and planning requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete drafting documentation for display homes from concept to handover
  • Produce drawings to support the workflow process and reflect customer requirements
  • Respond to critical customer needs and communicate with relevant departments
  • Inspect construction of new displays and mark up as constructed plans
  • Ensure all display architectural documentation is completed as per design intent and within allowed timeframes

Requirements

  • Diploma in Building Design/Drafting/Construction or equivalent
  • Minimum 2+ years in the residential volume home building industry
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and keep up to date with technological changes
  • Sound knowledge of Building Regulations, Building Code of Australia, and relevant Australian Standards
