Job Description:

The Team Leader plays a pivotal role in the development and delivery of high-quality services to support individuals with disabilities. This includes leading a team of Support Workers, ensuring they understand and work towards achieving the organization's missions and values.

Key responsibilities include rostering Support Workers according to participant goals, participating in the rotating weekend On-Call roster, and covering shifts when necessary. The Team Leader must also ensure Support Workers are reporting accurate Case Notes, investigating and providing feedback when required.

Additionally, the Team Leader engages regularly with participants, their families, and stakeholders to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and service delivery. They manage risks, including compliance with relevant policies, NDIS legislative requirements, Work Health and Safety, and financial risks.

The Team Leader works closely with other Team Leaders and reports to the Services Team Manager. The organization provides follow-up training sessions, supervision, and support to all staff members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Sound knowledge of NDIS legislative requirements gained from at least 2 years' experience supporting people with disabilities
  • Experience in a leadership role that enables mentoring a team of Support Workers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and nurture positive relationships with different stakeholders
  • Pragmatic approach to conflict resolution, problem-solving, decision-making, and managing priorities
