Capital Works Project Lead

This is a high-profile role in Melbourne, overseeing the planning and delivery of an office refurbishment project within a diverse property portfolio. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading all phases of project delivery, including consultation with stakeholders, development of scope briefs, and engagement of outsourced providers, design consultants, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:- Chairing project control and working groups
- Preparing reports for approval
- Ensuring compliance with design and governance frameworks
- Managing strict budget and schedule requirements
Plan, develop, and deliver capital works projects within budget, scope, and timeframes. Ensure projects align with the agency's design principles, strategic property objectives, and governance requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Mandatory 5-10 years of specific capital works project management experience gained from working in government agencies
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of laws and statutory requirements in the built environment
- Advanced contract management skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Qualification in Project Management or equivalent experience
