Job Overview

A Mechanical Engineering Leader is required to drive the delivery of complex mechanical projects through effective team leadership and technical expertise.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing robust, high-quality mechanical solutions that meet business, technical, and regulatory requirements. They will guide engineers to ensure design quality, manufacturability, and smooth transfer to manufacturing.


This role involves overseeing design-for-manufacture, assembly, and configuration management during transfer-to-manufacture activities. The Mechanical Engineering Leader will provide cross-project expertise on production-ready design for products in life sciences, diagnostics, industrial, and related sectors.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver mechanical projects on time and to client satisfaction.
  • Drive the development of high-quality mechanical solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Mentor and guide engineers to ensure design quality, manufacturability, and efficient transfer to manufacturing.
  • Oversee design-for-manufacture, assembly, and configuration management during transfer-to-manufacture activities.
  • Provide cross-project expertise on production-ready design for various product sectors.

Requirements:
  • An accredited qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Master's or PhD preferred).
  • 8+ years of relevant industrial experience in product development, with direct experience in regulated environments.
  • Proven track record in design transfer and manufacturing establishment for medium- to high-volume products.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills, with experience guiding teams of 5–10 members.
  • Familiar with working to GMP compliance and industry standards.
