Administration Officer Role Summary

This Administration Officer role is an excellent opportunity to join the team at Healthscope. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a busy reception desk, answering and redirecting calls, and performing a range of administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a busy reception desk, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for patients and visitors.
  • Answer and redirect calls, responding to queries and providing information as required.
  • Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Conduct follow-up requests and make reminder calls for visits, maintaining effective communication with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and effective record management systems, including the preparation of medical records.
  • Perform Health Fund Checks as required, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the collection of excesses/co-payments, maintaining accurate records and processing payments efficiently.
  • Coordinate with staff from other departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Complete other clerical tasks, including data entry and maintenance of accurate records.

    Essential Criteria:

    • Authority to work in Australia.
    • Working with Children check.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
    • Ability to work well independently and within a team.
    • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
    • WebPas Hospital system experience (desirable).
    • A few years of administration experience.
