Administration Officer Role Summary
This Administration Officer role is an excellent opportunity to join the team at Healthscope. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a busy reception desk, answering and redirecting calls, and performing a range of administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a busy reception desk, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for patients and visitors.
- Answer and redirect calls, responding to queries and providing information as required.
- Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Conduct follow-up requests and make reminder calls for visits, maintaining effective communication with patients and healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and effective record management systems, including the preparation of medical records.
- Perform Health Fund Checks as required, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the collection of excesses/co-payments, maintaining accurate records and processing payments efficiently.
- Coordinate with staff from other departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Complete other clerical tasks, including data entry and maintenance of accurate records.
Essential Criteria:
- Authority to work in Australia.
- Working with Children check.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Ability to work well independently and within a team.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
- WebPas Hospital system experience (desirable).
- A few years of administration experience.
