**Job Summary:**

The postsecondary education advisor provides comprehensive support to students by offering guidance and resources for higher learning opportunities.

This role is responsible for assisting students in exploring their career and college goals through various workshops, individual sessions, and group meetings. The advisor helps students navigate the process of applying to colleges, securing financial aid, and preparing for entrance exams such as the ACT and SAT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with identifying potential careers and educational paths that align with their interests and abilities.
  • Provide information on available resources, including scholarships, grants, and tuition assistance programs.
  • Help students complete application materials, including FAFSA and CSS Profile forms, and provide guidance on the financial aid process.
  • Offer support and advocacy for students with special circumstances, ensuring they receive the necessary accommodations and services.

**Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders.

**Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in an educational setting or providing academic support to students is highly valued. Fluency in Spanish is also desirable.
