With a 1:4 nurse/patient ratio within the department, this position will empower you to deliver high-quality care and bring your expertise to work alongside a dedicated team of midwives, lactation consultants, mothercraft nurses, and allied health professionals.

Your Role

As a Senior Midwifery Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating midwifery care in collaboration with key stakeholders and the multi-disciplinary team. Your primary goal will be to provide outstanding care that promotes best clinical outcomes and supports the physical and emotional well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide women-centered care that meets the unique needs of each patient
  • Assess and develop individualized care plans that address the physical and emotional needs of mothers and newborns
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

  • Currrently registered with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
  • Experienced in postnatal midwifery settings
