Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to academic staff, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes excellence in teaching, research, and service.
  • Mentor and support the development of staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Contribute to the quality improvement of midwifery programs, incorporating innovative approaches and best practices to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Build relationships with external organizations and communities, establishing partnerships that benefit both the university and the wider community.

  • A total remuneration package valued at approximately $168,595 - $183,037 per annum (pro rata), including a salary component of $142,625 - $154,969 (pro rata) per annum (Academic Level C), or $191,064 - $210,313 (pro rata) per annum, including a salary component of $161,830 - $178,282 (pro rata) per annum (Academic Level D).
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible staff.
  • Annual leave loading equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary payable, dependent on your commencement date.
  • Flexible work arrangements, study leave, and various leave provisions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant PhD or higher degree in Midwifery or a related field.
  • Proven experience in academic leadership, preferably in a senior role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and external partners.
