The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-performing Work, Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and office administrators to ensure a safe working environment.

This is an outstanding chance to collaborate with diverse groups, communicate effectively, and contribute to the success of our business. You will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with vehicle drivers to understand and comply with safety expectations
  • Communicating effectively with warehousing and office support staff to ensure they understand and comply with safety expectations
  • Testing procedures with drivers, warehouse staff, and on-site workers
  • Achieving WHS targets for the national business and maintaining relevant, current, and interpretable WHS systems
  • Coordinating incident investigations and reporting near-misses immediately
  • Visiting sites regularly to ensure compliance with safety legislation and site-specific rules
  • Developing and executing relevant WHS systems with the Senior Management Team
  • Providing training where required, including inductions and external training courses
  • Managing documentation according to document management procedures
  • Organising and participating in emergency drills and training
  • Conducting audits and inspections as required
Requirements
  • Experienced full-time Work, Health & Safety Coordinator from a similar industry
  • Personal commitment to keeping people safe and well in the workplace
  • Effective communication skills to work with diverse groups
  • Representative experience in external WHS-related meetings or site tours
  • Up-to-date knowledge of WHS legislation and trends
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and advanced computer skills
  • Unrestricted Driver's Licence, Police Clearance, and Pre-Employment Medical Clearance
