Interface Med Legal is a specialist occupational therapy consultancy.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (8+ years clinical experience) to join our medico-legal team.

This role suits clinicians from rehabilitation, community, hospital, or specialist practice who enjoy complex assessment, structured reasoning, and high-quality report writing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake independent, client-centred functional assessments (primarily in home settings)
  • Review medical and allied health information to inform clinical reasoning
  • Prepare clear, evidence-based reports addressing equipment, treatment, care needs, and support hours
  • Liaise professionally with referrers, clients, and multidisciplinary stakeholders
  • Maintain timely documentation, quality standards, and confidentiality requirements
  • Occasional court attendance as an expert witness
About You
  • Minimum 8 years post-graduate clinical experience (adult rehab, community, hospital, or specialist practice)
  • Strong functional assessment skills and confident clinical reasoning
  • Excellent written communication with demonstrated report-writing capability
  • Professional, reliable, and able to manage your schedule and caseload
  • Comfortable travelling for assessments (mainly across Greater Sydney)
  • Current AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance
  • Driver's licence and reliable transport

Location and Travel

Most work is within the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area. Strong preference for Sydney-based clinicians. Candidates elsewhere in Australia will be considered where monthly travel to Sydney is feasible.
