About Interface
Interface Med Legal is a specialist occupational therapy consultancy providing independent assessments and expert reports within legal contexts. Our clinicians translate robust clinical reasoning into clear, evidence-based recommendations that inform care needs, equipment, treatment, and support planning.
The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (8+ years clinical experience) to join our medico-legal team. This role suits clinicians from rehabilitation, community, hospital, or specialist practice who enjoy complex assessment, structured reasoning, and high-quality report writing.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake independent, client-centred functional assessments (primarily in home settings)
- Review medical and allied health information to inform clinical reasoning
- Prepare clear, evidence-based reports addressing equipment, treatment, care needs, and support hours
- Liaise professionally with referrers, clients, and multidisciplinary stakeholders
- Maintain timely documentation, quality standards, and confidentiality requirements
- (Occasional) court attendance as an expert witness
About you
- Minimum 8 years post-graduate clinical experience (adult rehab, community, hospital, or specialist practice)
- Strong functional assessment skills and confident clinical reasoning
- Excellent written communication with demonstrated report-writing capability
- Professional, reliable, and able to manage your schedule and caseload
- Comfortable travelling for assessments (mainly across Greater Sydney)
- Current AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance
- Driver's licence and reliable transport
