Maintenance Planner Job Description

As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a pivotal role in our Field Services team by coordinating all maintenance activities. This involves balancing current and predicted equipment condition information to enable efficient scheduling, ensuring that equipment is proactively maintained, repairs are timely, and assets operate smoothly, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the field service function.

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for developing a detailed rolling routine and corrective maintenance plan to optimize assets throughout their lifecycle. You will create and manage detailed schedules for corrective and preventive maintenance activities, review all required maintenance, collate and update information in a detailed plan, and align the maintenance plan with operational requirements.

To excel in this position, you must have a strong understanding of machinery and equipment used in the business, as well as technical knowledge of condition monitoring and asset health principles. Additionally, you should have experience with CMMS systems, planning and scheduling coordination, and strong organizational skills to ensure each part of the business has what it needs to function efficiently daily.

You will work closely with other field service team members, project managers, and engineering managers to develop maintenance strategies and ensure efficient and effective maintenance of critical assets. As a key member of our team, you will coordinate and schedule all maintenance activities, track inventory to ensure timely repairs and minimize downtime, procure materials for maintenance activities, and ensure that company machinery and fleet used in operations, manufacturing, and project delivery and supporting client services are in optimal working conditions.

  • Develop maintenance strategies, monitor work order, and perform diagnostic investigations when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Discipline Engineers to develop and maintain maintenance strategy.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless maintenance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage detailed schedules for corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Review all required maintenance, collating and updating information in a detailed plan.
  • Align the maintenance plan with operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with other field service team members, project managers and engineering managers to develop maintenance strategies and ensure efficient and effective maintenance of critical assets.
  • Coordinate and schedule all maintenance activities.

About You:

  • Trade qualification, engineering degree or appropriate time in role equipment knowledge.
  • Technical understanding of condition monitoring and asset health principles.
  • CMMS system experience.
  • Planning and Scheduling coordination experience.
  • Strong organisational skills to ensure each part of the business has what it needs to function efficiently daily.
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritise task efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • A solid understanding of machinery and equipment used in the business.
