Health and Safety Expert

A Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being of employees, contractors, and visitors at a worksite. The primary responsibility is to develop, implement, and maintain effective HSE policies, procedures, and programs that prevent injuries, illnesses, and environmental harm.
Key areas of focus include:
- Developing and maintaining site-specific health and safety plans, including risk assessments, emergency response plans, and training programs.
- Conducting regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Providing training and guidance to employees on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Coordinating with management and departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Investigating incidents and near-miss events to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and guidelines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
