Role Summary">

We are seeking an experienced professional to undertake marketing and recruitment activities for foster carers.


  • Respond to enquiries from prospective foster carers in a timely manner and help guide them through the application and assessment process.
  • Provide relevant information to foster care applicants throughout the enquiry and screening stages.
  • Keep accurate records of enquiries and analyse the impact of our recruitment and marketing efforts on successful carer applications within a local area.
  • Participate in CARE training to ensure we utilise the latest frameworks and tools when working with children and young people in our service.
  • Coordinate and support Carer Ambassadors and other peer support carers to engage with our carer attraction and engagement plan, including attending events and supporting information sessions.
  • Support family finding work for kinship care or respite options.
  • Analyse the success of our carer attraction and engagement plans and produce reports as required.
  • Introduce screened carer applicants to the relevant carer assessor and facilitate the development of this relationship.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with applicants, internal customers, agencies, and vendors.
  • In conjunction with the local care team, design and implement a carer attraction and engagement plan that meets local demand, including strategies to support targeted recruitment of carers.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Undertake marketing and recruitment activities to attract high-quality foster carers.
  2. Manage enquiries from prospective foster carers, guiding them through the application and assessment process.
  3. Deliver presentations and information sessions to promote our organisation and services.
  4. Support Carer Ambassadors and peer support carers in engaging with our carer attraction and engagement plan.
  5. Monitor and report on the success of our carer attraction and engagement plans.

Skills and Qualifications


  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, sales, recruitment, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing, sales, or recruitment roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with individuals who have experienced trauma and adversity.
  • Experience in case management or project management.
  • Strong prioritisation skills to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence.
