Senior Health Policy Manager

This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of policy, research and advocacy priorities. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with stakeholders and support Aboriginal community-controlled health services in the NT.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead policy, research and advocacy initiatives in alignment with organisational objectives
- Oversee health research activities as directed by senior management
- Provide secretariat support to board meetings, committees and external forums
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies across various channels
- Manage a team in producing high-quality reports, submissions and policy documents
- Nurture relationships with member services and external partners
- Relevant tertiary qualification and extensive experience in health or social policy, planning, research and governance
- Demonstrated expertise in comprehensive primary healthcare, including social and cultural determinants of health
- Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic policies in a health-related sector
- Able to build and maintain strategic relationships internally and externally
- Strong secretariat management skills and experience in providing support to senior management
