About the Role
The University of Melbourne is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished academic leader to join our Melbourne Dental School as a Senior Lecturer in Paediatric Dentistry. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to provide academic and clinical leadership in paediatric education and research within our graduate dental programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality teaching programs in paediatric dentistry, incorporating contemporary pedagogical insights and innovative educational methods.
- Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and evaluation, ensuring alignment with national and international standards.
- Supervise student research projects, providing guidance and support to ensure successful completion.
- Engage in clinical teaching, supervising student treatment of paediatric cases, and coordinating multidisciplinary care.
- Undertake administrative tasks associated with teaching, including consultation with students, marking, and assessment.
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field, such as paediatrics or a related discipline, and a completed specialist dental qualification in paediatrics.
- Extensive clinical experience in paediatrics, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
- Experience in clinical teaching, course development, and student supervision, with a focus on exploring innovative educational methods and contributing to research initiatives.
